Northeast Colorado Pest Management

Objectives of the program
• Provide proactive pest management information including current pests, pest status and management options
• Increase pest management knowledge and skills of growers
• Improve scouting skills of individuals and agricultural businesses
• Improve agricultural productivity and environmental quality

Which Crops Monitored for Pests?
Both dryland and irrigated crops including but not limited to alfalfa ,corn dry beans, forages, onion, potatoes, sugar beets, sunflowers, wheat.

What Does Pest Alert Do?
The Pest Alert Program monitors economic pests of field crops in northern region (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Kit Carson, Logan, Phillips, Yuma, Sedgwick, Washington and Weld counties) and neighboring counties in northeastern Colorado during the entire growing season using light and pheromone traps and field scouting.
