MASTER OF PUBLIC HEALTH (MPH)
Overview
The Graduate Program in Public Health at CSU has accepted the first group of MPH students for the Fall, 2008. The Masters of Public Health (MPH) is the primary professional degree in the field of public health. The MPH degree is intended for students who plan careers as practitioners and leaders in one or more of the core areas in public health. Core academic public health areas include biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health sciences, health services administration, and social and behavioral sciences.
The program will be operated as one component of the Colorado School of Public Health which is a cooperative program between the University of Colorado at Denver Health Sciences Center, the University of Northern Colorado and Colorado State University. Faculty from the Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Applied Human Sciences, Natural Sciences and Liberal Arts, with member departments including Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Health and Exercise Science, Psychology, and Journalism and Technical Communication and the Center for Applied Studies in American Ethnicity (CASAE) and others have been involved in developing the program.
