The Department of Anthropology is an academic department in the

College of Liberal Arts

We are an interdisciplinary social science with a faculty of cultural anthropologists, archaeologists and biological anthropologists whose scholarship spans the breadth of human experience.  The discipline of anthropology is concerned with processes of the human condition as well as the structure of the social, environmental, political and economic conditions within which humans operate.  Thus, anthropology is both varied and integrative, drawing from biology, humanities, and other social and natural sciences.  The Anthropology faculty at CSU conduct research all over the world.
