Email Account Information

Getting an Email Account

All Colorado State University students, faculty, and staff are given a free email account on one of ACNS's central servers (lamar, holly, or simla) with the creation of an eID. Visit the eID Web Site to create an eID.

New Central Exchange Service for Faculty & Staff

Your Email Alias (First.Last@colostate.edu)

In addition to getting a free email account with the creation of an eID, Colorado State students, faculty, staff, and associates will also receive a First.Last@colostate.edu email alias. This alias will allow them to receive email at an address comprised of their first name, a dot, their last name, and @colostate.edu (e.g. John.Doe@colostate.edu). It is important to note that this is not an email account itself, but rather it is an email address alias that will automatically forward mail to the email account specified in a person's eID, even if that email account isn't on a Colorado State University server. Users may change the first part of their First.Last@colostate.edu alias (e.g. from Jonathan.Doe@colostate.edu to John.Doe@colostate.edu) using the link below.
