Overall Program Objectives

Research Objectives

  • Examine, develop, and evaluate suitable cropping system inputs (varieties/rootstocks of established crops, products, equipment, etc.) for established crops in Colorado.
  • Examine, develop, and evaluate cultural options for established cropping systems.
  • Monitor and identify weed, pest, and disease issues/problems in established cropping systems and develop measures to understand and control these problems.
  • Examine potential of existing crops for use in phytoremediation
  • Evaluate forage production alternatives for western Colorado that lead to improved economic returns for producers.
