The Western Colorado Research Center (WCRC) Advisory Committee has two roles - advocacy and advisory. The advocacy role is to actively promote the work of the Western Colorado ResearchCenter with policy makers, producers, and the public at large. Advocacy is the primary mission of the Committee. The advisory role is to provide input and feedback on research and outreach activities conducted through the programs of the Western Colorado Research Center.
The Committee is comprised of no less than six members. Initial appointment to the Committee is for a potentially renewable 2 or 3-year term. The Committee has a Chair and a Vice-Chair. Committee members serve voluntarily without compensation. Meetings of the Committee are conducted by the Chair and Vice-Chair in cooperation with the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Research Committee of the Western Colorado Research Center. The Research Committee consists of the research scientists located at WCRC Fruita, Orchard Mesa, and Rogers Mesa.
