We are working to better understand the physiology and cryopreservation process for vegetatively propagated plant species in the National Plant Germplasm System.  Currently we have projects involving garlic storage and cryopreservation, the effect of cryoprotectants on mint ultrastructure and survival, and gene expression in cold-acclimated Rubus.
