Genomics of the yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegypti is the primary
research focus and the research objective is to elucidate the molecular
basis for vector competency in the transmission of parasitic diseases.
Other collaborative projects include: Clavibacter michiganese genomics;
Gene organization of barley; Physical mapping of genome regions containing
genes for Russian wheat aphid resistance in wheat; Expressed sequence tagged
(EST) sites of a Russian wheat aphid stressed, resistant-wheat cDNA library;
Culicoides
variipennis genomics.
