Turkey at the Crossroads: Women's Studies, and the State
Summer Institute, Istanbul and Bodrum, Turkey
May 27 - June 3, 2005

Towson University's Institute for Teaching and Research on Women (ITROW) is co-hosting this Summer Institute, in collaboration with Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey.

The Institute will run from 9am-1pm each morning and include a selection of afternoon sessions. Participants will discuss various articles, engage in participant led presentations, and explore pedagogical issues related to engendering and internationalizing their courses and educational curricula. The Institute's themes include:

  • Human Rights and Women's Rights
  • Feminism and Women's Studies
  • Women, Work, and the State
  • Images of Women in Contemporary Society

The Society for Menstrual Cycle Research 16th Biennial Conference

This program brings together a multi-disciplinary audience of researchers, health care professionals, consumers, educators, and others who share an interest in women's lives and their health as these relate to the menstrual cycle. The Fourth International Congress on Women Work and Health (WWH-2005)

The Fourth International Congress on Women Work and Health will focus on the themes of safety, health and the environment.
