Colorado State University is classified as a Community Engaged Institution by the Carnegie Foundation.

The Office of Engagement strengthens CSU's ability to achieve excellence in the areas of teaching and learning, retention and graduation, admissions and access and outreach and service. Additionally, the office assists communities through rural outreach, scientific discovery and regional research.

The current economic downturn is being compared to the worst recessions in modern U.S. history and is affecting many citizens, companies, and institutions alike.
