There are four ways you can be part of School is Cool!

  1. $20 to sponsor one backpack. All money donated will be used to fill backpacks with supplies. The more you give, the more students you help. Because we purchase the supplies in such high volume, we are able to purchase items at cost often lower than advertised sale prices which allows us to assemble the packs at the $20 average cost. Deadline for donations for this year's campaign is Monday, August 3, although money is collected year-round.

      • Complete our online form and select the print option in Step 3, and mail the form and your check to the address on the printed form.
        OR
      • Make your check out to School is Cool and mail it to: Colorado State University Foundation, 410 University Services Center, 601 Howes, Campus, 9100. If you are sending it from off campus send it to: Colorado State University Foundation, P. O. Box 1870, Fort Collins, CO 80522-1870.
  2. Use the list and shop for supplies on your own. Pick a grade and fill the backpack with supplies suggested. Please mark the grade level on the filled backpack and bring it to Newsom Hall on Wednesday, August 6 between 9 a.m. and noon.

  3. Represent your campus department. Department representatives assist our program by being the ambassadors to individual offices around campus. By volunteering to become your department/offices/college's representative, you will only have to devote a few hours to becoming a "voice" for the children. An informational meeting for department representatives will be held Tuesday, July 7 from 10-11:30 a.m. in room 203/207 Lory Student Center.
  4. Volunteer your time. Once the large volume of supplies have been delivered, we need volunteers to assist in organizing supplies and stuffing and delivering the packs (online photo album). Because School is Cool is considered an official university function, administrative and/or VIPS leave may be used with prior approval from your supervisor. We'd love to have your help.
