RecycleMania 2012
Updated Jan. 13, 2012
The annual collegiate recycling competition "RecycleMania" kicks off Feb. 5 and will run through March 31. Colorado State will compete among hundreds of universities and colleges across the country and the world. Hey Rams - it's time to recycle like you've never recycled before!

The RecycleMania competition runs from Feb. 5 to March 31.
RecycleMania is a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities.
Over an 8-week period, schools report recycling and trash data which are then ranked according to who collects the largest amount of recyclables per capita, the largest amount of total recyclables, the least amount of trash per capita, or have the highest recycling rate.
With each week's reports and rankings, participating schools watch how their results fluctuate against other schools and use this to rally their campus communities to reduce and recycle more.
During the national competition, Colorado State also hosts a recycling competition on campus among its residence halls and apartments.
Largest amount of recyclables wins! So start recycling and let's make Colorado State University #1!
