Steve Fairchild and the Rams will host the annual spring football game on Saturday, April 19, at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. The spring game, pancake breakfast, and Football Frenzy are all open to the public and FREE!
For more than two decades, CSU's Ram Club Spirit Committee has hosted a free community pancake breakfast prior to the spring game. The Spirit Committee will begin serving at 9 a.m. on the West Concourse .
CSU Athletics and the City of Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Department have once again teamed up to host "Football Frenzy" on the north concourse of the stadium. Football Frenzy is the place for kids and fans of all ages to enjoy the Ram Town inflatables, face painting, and an autograph session with former players. Free T-shirts will be distributed to the first 500 kids.
Fairchild and his team will take the field at approximately 11 a.m. and, following warmups, will engage in a spirited offense-vs-defense battle.
The competition will award points to the respective units based on yards gained/allowed, touchdowns scored and takeaways, among other variables.
Implemented by Fairchild to raise the level of intrasquad competition, and better prepare players for situations they'll see in games this fall, the following scoring system has been in use all spring.
|Any snap||Gain of 4-plus yards||1||Offense|
|Any snap||Gain of less than 4 yards||1||Defense|
|Any snap||Pre-snap penalty||1||Non-guilty unit|

We want every young Ram fan to be a part of the day's activities. However, with the speed and force of the game, safety is always an issue and no youngsters allowed on the field at any time during pregame warmups or the game itself.
Once the game concludes, we're hopeful all young Ram fans will come to the field to meet our players and coaches.
