Lorraine Wolf, Ph.D.

Lorraine Wolf has more than 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Wolf has authored several books on autism and aspergers in the college environment, including Students on the Autism Spectrum: A College Guide for Families and Clinicians, which will be published this year.

Lorraine Wolf

Dr. Lorraine Wolf is the Director of Disability Services at Boston University. She received her Bachelor's degree from Hampshire College, her Master's degree in General Psychology from New York University, and her Doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology from the City University of New York. She has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Prior to coming to Boston University, Dr. Wolf held faculty appointments at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She has taught experimental psychology, assessment, and neuropsychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and lectures nationally and internationally on college programming for students with disabilities.

Dr. Wolf holds faculty appointments as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine and as Adjunct Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Sciences at the Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She was a co-editor of the book Adult Attention Deficit Disorders: Brain Mechanisms and Life Outcomes (2001, New York Academy of Sciences) and senior co-editor of Adult Learning Disorders: Contemporary Issues, published by Psychology Press in May of 2008. She is the senior co-author of Students with Asperger Syndrome: A Guide for College Personnel (Autism Asperger Publishing Company, 2009), and Students on the Autism Spectrum: A College Guide for Families and Clinicians, to be published by Autism Asperger Publishing Company in 2011. She lives in Lexington, MA with her husband and teenage twin boys, one of whom is on the spectrum. She enjoys travel, hiking, and scuba diving.
