Homecoming Friday...
     Come Early, Stay Late!

Updated October 2, 2012

Since October 1914, Colorado State has hosted a Homecoming Weekend, chock full of activities, class and organizational reunions, open houses, all-campus reunion festivities on the Oval and the ever-popular parade.

Events are continuing as scheduled. In case of inclement weather, updates will be posted here.

It all starts Friday with Reunion on the Oval

Reunion on the Oval is free for everyone in the Fort Collins and campus communities.

From music to food, fun to games, the place to start the weekend is Reunion on the Oval.

Reunion on the Oval will kick off Homecoming and Family Weekend events at 2:30 p.m. on the Oval. Alumni, students, parents, families, and all campus and community members are all invited to enjoy music by WhiteWater Ramble, specialty favorites from local food trucks, a beer garden, carnival games, and kids activities before the annual Homecoming Parade.

During the Reunion on the Oval, RamTrax will be hosting a Mystery of CSU History Tour. Find out which buildings may be haunted, hear the stories students, faculty and staff have passed down for decades, and get the inside scoop on truths, myths and legends. Tour sign-up for 15 guests starts at 2:30 p.m., and the tour begins at 2:45 p.m.

Parade features Grand Marshal Janay DeLoach

"Go for the Green and Gold" anywhere along the parade route.

CSU alumna Janay DeLoach won bronze in the long jump at the London Olympic Games.

Kids of all ages will enjoy cheering on Grand Marshal Janay DeLoach and CAM the Ram, as well as parade entertainment from local marching bands, dance and theatre groups, schools, and the ever popular floats built by student and community groups -- and the Oval has the best seats in town!

The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Howes Street and Oak Street in downtown Fort Collins and will end at the intersection of Meridian Avenue and University Avenue on campus.

Fire up at the pep rally, then 'March to Moby' for the Border War

Basketball coaches Larry Eustachy and Ryun Williams are featured guests at the Pep Rally.

Senior Dana Cranston earned conference player of the week after leading the Rams to 3-0 wins over Nevada and San Diego State.

The end of the parade is beginning of the pep rally, bonfire and fireworks on the Lory Student Center West Lawn. All alumni, students, parents, families and community members are invited to join in and get in the spirit with the CSU Marching Band, spirit squads and special guests from the Department of Athletics.

From there, join the March to Moby to support CSU volleyball in the annual Border War with Wyoming at 7:45 p.m. at Moby Arena. The Rams are red hot after sweeping conference foes Nevada and San Diego State last weekend. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased online at csurams.com.

What's next?

Saturday it's off to the races with the annual Homecoming 5K Race, or you if prefer a slower pace, the Campus Crawl -- an insider's look around campus. Tailgating at Hughes Stadium officially begins at 2 p.m., but for the hardcore fans gates open at 10 a.m. Kickoff of the football game against Fresno State is 5 p.m., with festivities inside the stadium starting a half-hour earlier.

Homecoming schedules, details and registration are available on homecoming.colostate.edu.
