Craig Knippenberg, LCSW, M.Div.

Craig Knippenberg is a licensed clinical social worker who has helped thousands of children and teens over the years learn social skills and improve their connections with peers through the CONNECT socialization group model he developed. These groups have been of particular help to individuals (ages 4 to 30) with ASD as well as those with learning disabilities and attention deficit challenges.

Craig Knippenberg is a licensed clinical social worker and president of Knippenberg, Patterson & Associates. He has been counseling individuals and families in the metro-Denver area for almost 30 years and has a particular expertise in serving children and teens on the autism spectrum in addition to those with differentiated learning styles and/or executive functioning challenges.

Knippenberg developed the CONNECT socialization group model and has conducted and supervised these groups for children and teens for the past 30 years. Since its inception, CONNECT has helped thousands of children and teens learn social skills and make connections with peers.

In addition, Knippenberg is a co-founder of the Neurobehavioral Training Center of Denver which trains professionals to conduct similar social groups. He also is a national lecturer on social and emotional growth and self-esteem and has twice been a presenter at University of California’s MIND Institute.

Along with these endeavors, Knippenberg is a consultant for St. Anne’s Episcopal School in Denver and serves on the boards for Creative Adoptions and Denver Academy (a nationally recognized school for differentiated learners). He recently launched a new website, www.adventuredads.org, dedicated to helping dads (& moms) connect with their children by sharing adventures.
