Simulation Options
Two options exist to control the level of detail that is output from WebSim. The options are available by clicking on the View menu and selecting Options.
Temporary Files
The first option available is whether or not to save the temporary files created by WebSim during a simulation. By default these files are deleted. To save the files, check the corresponding box. The temporary files contain information such as density estimates conditional on a single model and assorted intermediate code needed to parse output files. Viewing this information may be useful for detecting problems.
Simulation Progress
The second option available is to track simulation progress. By default, WebSim shows simulation progress as a progress bar in a dialog box. The WebSim numerical analysis program window remains hidden. If the track simulation progress check box is not checked, then the numerical analysis window will not be hidden and the progress bar will not be displayed. Simulation progress may be tracked by maximizing the numerical analysis window. This allows the user to determine the status of the estimation procedures at each simulation replicate.
