To have WebSim perform the diagnostic check, click the view diagnostics button under the simultion tab. A dialog will appear with the diagnostic information. Upon reviewing the information, clicking the OK button allows the user to go back to the simulation tab and adjust parameters or run the simulation.

The ratio of home range radius to trap spacing is the home range radius divided by the trap spacing. This gives a measure of how many traps in one line an animal is likely to have within its home range. The ratio of home range radius to line length provides and indication of home many home ranges could fit in the web. When considering this value, keep in mind that the home ranges are not exclusive. The ratio of home range radius to movement rate provides some indication about how quickly an animal could traverse its home range. Mean movement per trapping occasion is the expected value of the distance an animal will travel in one trapping occasion. Variance of the movement distance is the variance of the movement per trapping occasion.
