Little Leaf Mountain Mahogany (Cercocarpus intricatus)

		Little Leaf Mountain Mahogany (Cercocarpus intricatus) is a medium sized xeric shrub (center of picture), native to Colorado. It has erect branches, and is hardy to zone 3. Likes full sun and well-drained soil, and has low water needs once established. Very drought tolerant.
		Leaves are small, fine textured and needle like. They are dark green, shiny and have good fall color.
		Flowers are inconspicuous, tiny yellow.
		Seeds are plumed and spiral.
		Bark is a light grey.
