Foliage is fragrant, fernlike, scaly and sticky. Evergreen in warm climates, deciduous in cold climates, Fernbush has attractive fall color. | |

Flowers are white and roselike, in showy clusters that attract butterflies and bees, from June to August. | |

Seeds are colorful, and provide winter interest. | |

Bark is shreddy and red. |
