Class: Hybrid Tea
Habit: The upright, rounded, well-branched bush grows to 5 feet high by 4 feet
wide. Planted in groups of three or five Memorial Day is a perfect addition to any cutting
garden the traditional use of hybrid teas. All it takes is one bloom to fill an
entire room with sweet rose perfume.
Disease Resistance: Very Good
Color: Memorial Days clear pink with a lavender wash bloom rests comfortably
among extremely abundant rich green foliage.
Bloom: Memorial Days pointed oval buds spiral open to reveal very large
5-inch ruffled blooms with 50 gorgeous petals on long low-thorn stems.
Fragrance: Strong damask the classic smell that everyone expects from a
hybrid tea rose.
Hybridizer: Tom Carruth hybridized Memorial Day. This is Carruths fifth AARS
winner.
Parentage: A combination of Blueberry Hill and New Zealand.
