| Brief Job Description | The summer sports intern covers everything from tennis, to recreational sports features, to baseball. The Chieftain is the daily paper for Pueblo and the outlaying areas. In the summer, there are a lot of tennis tournaments as well as summer league baseball for Connie Mack League teams as well as a semi-pro baseball team that competes at the national level. This position requires five days of work during the week and is paid. It helps to have some background in sports reporting and to be good at following a beat and to be able to generate story ideas. |
