| Brief Job Description | WADSO is a small non-profit organization which supports medical and educational projects in West Africa. Currently we are supporting the development of Madonna Hospital in Umuahia, Nigeria. Recently we completed construction of a roof over the entire hospital and now we are focusing on installing the infra-structure such as windows, doors, electricity & plumbing. WADSO needs an intern to create a promotional video to be used to transmit information about our organization and its work on behalf of Madonna Hospital in Nigeria. This video would be used for fundraising purposes. There is raw footage to work with and would provide a challenging editing and creative experience. We could also use a couple of versions for different target audiences. An intern from the Video Production concentration in Technical Journalism could provide an invaluable service to WADSO this semester. |
| Additional Information, Application Procedure | I want to increase the level of sophistication of WADSO's Public Information and Education efforts. We need to expand our reach and penetrate new "markets" for our fundraising efforts. A TJ intern would be of great help in enhancing and developing our print, PowerPoint, and digital communications.
