Access E-Learning (AEL) is a ten-module tutorial from Georgia Tech Research on Accessible Distance Education (GRADE) and the Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access (CATEA). AEL offers information on the most common needs in distance education, and provides instruction in techniques that will enhance the usability of online materials for all students.

Accessibility in Distance Education, University of Maryland University College (UMUC) (http://www.umuc.edu/ade/) The ADE site explains accessibility problems that students with disabilities are likely to encounter in navigating Web-based resources, and shows faculty members how they can address and resolve these problems. The site also seeks to provide faculty with information about different types of disabilities, relevant laws, and best accessibility practices.

Available resources include: Academic accommodations for students with disabilities; Universal design of instruction; Equal access to computer technology and the Web; and, Rights and responsibilities of student with disabilities and faculty.

Multimedia Educational Resource ofr Learning and Online TeachingMERLOT (http://www.merlot.org) is a free and open resource designed primarily for faculty and students of higher education. Links to online learning materials are collected here along with annotations such as peer reviews and assignments.
