Title: Director of Outreach and Support
Employment Type: Administrative Professional

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Requirements: CASA empowers students to explore and engage in their educational and personal purpose, within an inclusive community that supports learning and graduation. The Director will provide leadership for the Outreach and Support Unit in CASA, including many campus outreach and intervention strategies with a systems approach rather than direct student interaction. He or she will sustain, enhance and create new systems for proactive intervention and enhance academic advising support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 Master’s degree
 Five years of equivalent professional experience in higher education working with intervention programs and activities in support of student success
 Experience supervising staff

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience supervising professional staff
• Knowledge of decision making processes on a large university campus
• Problem-solving ability and creativity to build new program elements
• Demonstrated ability to engage campus departments in a collaborative approach to enhance student success, including those in both academic and student affairs
• Effectiveness in conducting active outreach to individual students and student groups with the ability to motivate and train advisors to provide outreach
• Experience working with students in one-to-one interactions to overcome obstacles to their academic success and continuation in higher education
• Experience in support of student success as evidenced by academic performance, persistence to graduation, and engagement in in-class and out-of-class learning
• Demonstrated ability with campus technology systems utilized to assist academic advisors
• Demonstrated experience with analyzing data to identify, develop, enhance and sustain programs and systems for student outreach and intervention
• Ability to integrate assessment within the unit to demonstrate effectiveness and to make improvements and adjustments as necessary
• Experience in academic advising
• Demonstrated experience with students from diverse backgrounds, awareness of issues facing students from underrepresented groups, and demonstrated commitment to diversity
• Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation and writing skills
• Demonstrable performance as a team leader and team member
