One position is available as Associate Director of the Office for Undergraduate Research and Artistry in the Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT) (Assistant Coordinator at Colorado State University).
DESCRIPTION This full-time position will work with the Director of the Office for Undergraduate Research and Artistry to coordinate and establish engagement programs in the Institute for Learning and Teaching. The successful candidate will be familiar with the current state of knowledge regarding experiential learning and teaching in higher education, possess strong communication skills, and possess strong administrative skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Master’s degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Familiarity with theory and practice related to the promotion of learning and teaching. • Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills. • Strong understanding of the higher education campus community. • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators. • Commitment to diversity and multicultural perspectives. • Ability to manage projects, develop programs, and carry out related administrative responsibilities. • Experience managing grant-funded projects. • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative context. • Experience working with students at the postsecondary level. • Experience supervising student employees.
DUTIES • Coordinate the Honors Undergraduate Research Scholars Program: Manage web updates, application process, research placements, responsible conduct of research training/certificates, and enrichment programs for approximately 300 undergraduate participants. • Represent the Office at admissions visits, orientation programs, and other university events. • Coordinate Nationally Competitive Scholarship Programs: Identify competitive scholarship candidates; announce scholarship opportunities; assist applicants with application procedures; review and provide comments for student applications; facilitate faculty scholarship review panels; coordinate student enrichment programs. • Coordinate one or more OURA Academies: Manage web updates, recruit faculty mentors, facilitate meetings and activities, and serve as the central resource for groups of 5-10 undergraduate researchers. • Advise students regarding undergraduate research and artistry opportunities with the goal of increasing the number of participating students and the quality of their research and artistry experiences. • Supervise undergraduate and/or graduate student hourly workers. • Other duties as assigned.

GENERAL INFORMATION The Institute for Learning and Teaching supports faculty, students, and staff in their efforts to enhance learning and teaching within the Colorado State University community.
