Duties:
The position is full time (4/4 load) with one course release each semester for administrative work. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Writing Center Director to develop materials for and participate in Writing Center consultant training and development; coordinate the Course Collaboration and Writing Center Tutorial programs; spend five hours per week directly supervising Writing Center operations; observe and evaluate consultants’ performance; maintain records of Writing Center activities; and evaluate Writing Center performance. Successful applicants will be expected to meet departmental objectives for the courses they teach. In composition, instructors might teach CO130 (Academic Writing), CO150 (College Composition), CO300 (Writing Arguments), CO301 (Writing in the Disciplines), or CO302 (Writing Online).
