LOCATION
Fort Polk is a nearly 200,000 acre United States Army installation in the Vernon Parish County located approximately 7 miles east of Leesville, Louisiana, and 20 miles north of DeRidder, Louisiana. In the Vernon Parish County, you can find and abundance of recreational opportunities including golf courses, parks, museums, lakes, and excellent educational opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include the following: (1) maintenance and operation of the Fort Polk Cultural Resources Curation Facility as directed by the Cultural Resources Manager; (2) maintain a facility usage schedule for the Environmental Learning Center Building/Equipment Maintenance; (3) artifact processing and laboratory analysis of archaeological artifact collections recovered on Fort Polk lands and through the Fort Polk Heritage Program, ensuring that all artifacts and related materials are properly curated in accordance with 36 CFR 79; (4) actively participate in a number of other cultural resources-related activities such as public outreach and education, equipment upkeep, historical research, Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan implementation, oral history recording and compilation, site protection, technical reviewing, regulatory compliance assistance, Native American heritage support, and Heritage Program support

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must demonstrate U.S. employment eligibility. CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. A B.A. in anthropology, archaeology, historic preservation, cultural resources management, or closely related field and three years of post-graduation experience is required. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Louisiana driver’s license.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have demonstrated knowledge of federal historic preservation legislation, archaeological laboratory methodologies, archaeological curation procedures, and artifact collections management. Other desirable qualifications include prior experience in cultural resources tasks such as all aspects of planning, logistical support, execution of field work, oversight of laboratory processing and artifact analysis, and assistance with final report generation. Prior experience conducting cultural resources management on military lands is a plus.

SALARY
Range $44,000-$46,000. Continuation of position is dependent on the receipt of funding from the sponsor for Curator/Collections Manager efforts at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Job description of the QA Supervisor/Manager position:

This position requires strong knowledge of process and analytical development, clinical pharmaceutical and biologic manufacturing, and knowledge of non-GxP and GxP quality requirements for pharmaceuticals and biologics. Under the direction of the Director, the QA Supervisor/Manager is responsible for:
• Senior level QA activities to support the ongoing quality system and cGMP campaign activities.
• Directing other staff on the review and auditing of documentation for compliance to good documentation practices and to the technical requirements of directive documents (SOPs, protocols, directive documents, etc.).
• Relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; as well as leads deviation, CAPA, and OOS investigations.
• The quality review of testing, quality control, development study documents and other reports/data-forms for accuracy, completeness and compliance to requirements to ensure that QA standards and regulatory requirements are met.
• Change control procedures and events.
• Reviewing QA standards, studying existing policies and procedures, and interacting with personnel and clients to evaluate effectiveness of QA program.
• Assists in writing QA policies and procedures for the organization.
• Coordinating internal and external audits and assisting departments with the coordination of audit information, and recommends appropriate improvement/mitigations.
• Keeping the Director informed of the status of the quality system and unusual occurrences.

Candidates must show attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and be able to work within a team under challenging and sometimes stressful conditions. Candidates should have an exceptional knowledge of commonly-used QA concepts, practices, and procedures within cGMP field. The QA Supervisor/Manager is responsible for improving the organization’s knowledge base of current QA regulations and for informing the Director of any new and/or revised regulations. Candidates must have above average communication skills (writing and speaking) and be responsible for supporting a healthy working environment between other departments where QA is concerned. Requirements: The Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) at Colorado State University seeks to fill a professional research position for its collaborative research as a Cooperative Institute with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) Meteorological Development Laboratory (MDL) Decision Assistance Branch in Silver Spring, MD. (Office will be in Silver Spring, MD). The primary goal in the research partnership between the Decision Assistance Branch at the NWS/MDL and CIRA during the past few years has focused on the NWS’s role in improving aviation-centered guidance and decision support as well as providing a framework to foster innovation and science sharing within the NWS and to streamline the transition from research to operations. In particular, the partnership has resulted in streamlining and transitioning NCAR’s AutoNowcaster (ANC) system to the NWS and creation of tools and techniques for NWS forecasters to not only see ANC output but provide valuable input into the system that allows the forecasters to be “over the loop”. CIRA has and will continue to provide expertise in a wide range of technical areas, including but not limited to: portal frameworks, collaboration toolsets, configuration management, hardware and software configuration and tuning, software design and development, and application of new technologies and languages which are aligned with other NWS projects such as AWIPS II. The successful candidate will participate in a number of activities including a) updating and modifying ANC to perform under various climate regimes and forecast locations; b) providing recommendations on ways to further streamline the design of ANC; and c) participating in the development and enhancement of a Virtual Laboratory for the NWS which includes a portal using LifeRay’s open source java portal framework. LOCATION
Camp Guernsey, established in 1939, is comprised of over 77,000 acres of maneuver land, training ranges, and support facilities utilized and managed by the Wyoming Army National Guard (WYARNG). It is situated along the North Platte River in southeastern Wyoming, approximately 90 miles southeast of Casper and 80 miles north of the state capitol of Cheyenne. The setting offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will function as part of the Sustainable Range Program team to provide geospatial technical support to the Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center, including performance of duties associated with SRP GIS. Provide GIS analysis, map production, and support for the SRP and other WYARNG programs as directed. Inventory, develop, and manage SRP GIS databases. Coordinate with and utilize the Army’s SRP GIS Support Center. Create and maintain geospatial data that is compliant with the standards of the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) and Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE). Meet with military and other personnel to discuss mapping and database needs. Operate and maintain GIS system hardware, software and peripherals. Collect field data as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA degree in geography or natural resources, or equivalent (4 years) experience working with GIS and geospatial data. Ability to work outdoors in variable terrain and weather conditions. Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Developed skills in data collection, use of Global Positioning Systems hardware, GIS database development, and metadata development. Demonstrated experience working with GIS applications and digital cartography. Demonstrated knowledge of ArcGIS software and extensions. The candidate is expected to develop funded independent and/or collaborative research activities that will contribute toward scholarly development and productivity in disciplines related to veterinary ophthalmology.

The EMIS will have responsibilities in the CSU Chemistry Department’s Central Instrument Facility (CIF) Imaging and X-ray Spectroscopy laboratories; see the CIF website at http://cif.colostate.edu for more information. The mission of these laboratories is to provide state-of-the-art research services in support of our Materials Chemistry programs. Responsibilities will include providing advanced research services and training for, and routine maintenance of, electron microscopy (EM) methods and instruments including ultra-high resolution transmission EM (HR-TEM), scanning transmission EM (STEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS), electron diffraction (ED) and electron-beam lithography (EBEAM) with our new JEOL JEM-2100F HR-TEM, as well as our extant JSM-6500F SEM and Hitachi S-2700 SEM. The CIF laboratories are equipped with many other tools and instruments supporting its research support mission to chemistry-affiliated projects on campus and in the surrounding community. The successful candidate will join a dedicated group of six other research scientists and support personnel responsible for instruments and equipment in five other labs that are involved in all aspects of the chemical and physical characterization of compounds, bulk materials, thin films and surfaces. These include ultra-high vacuum systems, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) in myriad forms, physical property measurements (PPMS and SQUID-MPMS), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and other probe-based imaging techniques, optical spectroscopy (IR, UV-Vis-NIR, VASE), thermal analysis (DSC, TGA), mass spectrometry (GCMS, LCMS, FTMS) and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR and EPR).

All instruments in the CIF are available for use by the successful candidate, who will be expected to collaborate with colleagues, other staff scientists, faculty and other principal investigators to advance CSU’s primary research, education and service mission. As mentioned previously, EMIS responsibilities will include routine maintenance of the HR-TEM/STEM and other assigned equipment and the training of new users, as well as user-manual preparation and providing data for a various projects. Collaborations with senior investigators is expected. Contributions to shared instrument proposals will also be expected. Other instruments may be assigned as the need or opportunity arises and will be determined by the CIF Director.

The successful EMIS candidate must have a Ph.D. in a chemistry-related discipline, and some expertise with hard materials will be considered advantageous. Hands-on familiarity with UHV, HR-TEM, STEM and other X-ray imaging and spectroscopy techniques is required. Familiarity with EELS, lithography, and focused ion-beam milling will be considered advantageous. Experience with JEOL Instrumentation in particular is also an advantage. The ability to write and communicate clearly, as well as to think and work independently will be vital. Independent and collaborative research is encouraged.

RESPONSIBILITIES
These positions will assist the Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) staff with the sustainment of realistic training land conditions and the support of personnel, vehicles, and mission requirements for units at the installation. As a member of the LRAM team, field staff will support the overall training mission, enhance the safe use of training areas, sustain the overall land condition, improve off-road access to training areas, increase the net use of training areas, improve operational and tactical mobility, and reduce the impacts of soil erosion on training lands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A BS/BA in applied biological sciences, agriculture, restoration ecology, natural resources management, or related discipline appropriate to the position is required. A combination of an equivalent level of education and experience will also be considered. This position requires at least six continuous months of specialized experience in land rehabilitation and land management that includes experience in LRAM programs or programs similar to LRAM, use of Global Position Systems (GPS), application of best management practices for soil conservation and erosion control, and working successfully with others as well as independently. Applicants must demonstrate experience operating and maintaining mechanized equipment including tractors, seed drills, hydroseeds, and/or straw mulchers. Prior experience working on military installations is required. The successful applicants must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license.

The successful candidates must demonstrate U.S. employment eligibility; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have the ability to work under field conditions including rugged terrain, low humidity, and extreme heat, and be able to repeatedly lift at least 50 pounds. Knowledge of common plants of the central coast and experience monitoring vegetation are also desirable. Experience in invasive species management, use of erosion control materials, and the application of herbicides is a plus.
