Requirements: The Department of Biomedical Sciences: This interdisciplinary department contains over 25 faculty with strong international reputations and a track record of extramural support. Faculty research interests are focused in cellular, molecular and integrative biology, reproductive biology including gonadal function, and neurobiology with relevant emphasis in areas related to neuronal differentiation, degeneration and regeneration, ion channels and membrane physiology, synaptic mechanisms, neuronal circuitry, sensory biology, artificial neural networks, and neuroendocrinology. The department is highly interactive and offers postdoctoral fellows a friendly but rigorous learning environment. There is ample opportunity for informal interactions between fellows and faculty, thus encouraging the kind of discussions and collaborations that are critical to success in the cutting-edge atmosphere of modern biomedical research. Program faculty members are housed in modern research buildings with state-of-the-art equipment. All of the training faculty members have laboratories that are within relatively close proximity. University facilities that support research efforts include electron microscopes, flow cytometer and fluorescent activated cell sorter, confocal microscopes, DNA, RNA and protein sequencing and syntheses labs, a mass spectrometer lab, and facilities for genomics, preoteomics, and transgenic animal research. The hard work of research is balanced by the unique opportunity to enjoy the mountains and canyons of beautiful Colorado.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M.) and publications in peer-reviewed journals. Requirements: The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) is seeking a Program Effectiveness Coordinator to join the Professional Veterinary Medicine (PVM) Student Services Team and CVMBS. This is an outstanding opportunity to assure program quality and suggest improvement efforts for the PVM, and potentially other CVMBS programs through the assessment of student learning and professional success. The successful applicant will directly report to the PVM Education Development Specialist and will be engaged with CVMBS faculty and the PVM Curriculum and Steering Committees.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate the development of specific, measureable outcome goals for the PVM program that ensure program effectiveness and continuous improvement. At a minimum, these goals must comply with the AVMA accreditation standards.
• Define success targets for goals, identify strategies for achieving them, and measurements that will document success.
• Oversee both direct and indirect program assessments, in accordance with AVMA guidelines, to provide evidence of student learning and professional success.
• Compile and present data to ensure accurate and relevant information is provided to decision makers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provide PVM Curriculum and Steering Committees with analysis of data; drawing conclusions about program strengths and challenges; and assist in crafting recommended initiatives for continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requirements: The Degree and Transfer Evaluation Coordinator is a full time, 12-month Administrative Professional position within the Registrar’s Office, Division of Enrollment and Access.

The Degree Analyst serves as the primary liaison for a specific set of colleges and departments and completes evaluation of domestic and international credentials, at the undergraduate level. Transfer Evaluation and Degree Completion requirement processing requires looking at each situation to decide on the best approach for the circumstances; while continuing to be fair and consistent, within the policies and procedures in place.

This position is responsible for handling all types of transfer evaluation. Evaluation of post-secondary credentials requires both a subjective and objective review. This includes being creative and comparing concepts and framework. In addition, the position will be one of three primary staff handling undergraduate International transfer evaluation. This type of evaluation requires a detail oriented individual that can handle specialty analysis and evaluation for both the course content and the grading and credit practices of the foreign institution. Decisions must be made that are the best approach in each and every evaluation as every institution and country is different. This position must apply theories and principles to all areas pertaining to transfer evaluation processes to decide on the best approach for the circumstances.

This position also has the program responsibility to serve as a primary liaison to a specific specialty group/process (the Athletic Department pertaining to tentative transfer evaluations for student-athletes; Track III participants; CE/RI students needing to admit as degree seeking to graduate; University Honors and Discipline Honors processing; the Transfer Student Center and the Division of Continuing Education, etc…) regarding evaluation and degree completion requirements. As a professional employee, it is expected that the staff member will attend professional development workshops and/or professional organization conferences and handle additional duties as assigned.

The selected candidate is one who will be comfortable working with complex student issues and a person who is able to collaborate with a wide range of University employees. This individual must strive for excellence, accuracy and have a passion for solving problems in a team environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
ONE of the following required:
• Bachelor’s degree; OR
• Two years of full-time work experience in a University Registrar’s Office, Admissions, or other Academic Services area

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum of two years of experience with domestic post-secondary evaluation of credit
• Experience at a large research university working with a complex mix of programs of study
• Knowledge, understanding and experience working with administrative student information systems: preferably Ellucian (SunGard) Banner systems (Banner Student, Banner Document Management and Banner Workflow) and CollegeSource products: TES, DARS – u.achieve (Degree Audit Reporting System), u.direct, and u.select/transferology
• Experience providing presentations and trainings to groups of campus faculty and staff
• Problem-solving ability and creativity when working with undergraduate student populations
• Demonstrated ability to engage campus departments in a collaborative approach to enhance student success
• Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills; and strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated knowledge of, and relevant ability with, culturally diverse communities among potential target and constituent populations

Minimum Qualifications:
