Colorado State University seeks applications and nominations for the position of Director of Procurement Services, a leadership position reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Associate Vice President for Finance within the Division of University Operations. Candidate qualifications: Required: • Bachelor’s degree; • Minimum of five years of experience as a procurement professional; • Minimum of five years of experience supervising, developing and evaluating professional staff; • Skills in communications; interpersonal and problem solving skills; • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and all levels of personnel within the organization, including senior management; and • Experience with the regulatory environment associated with a public nonprofit institution of higher education or other governmental entity.
Preferred: Preferred qualifications include five or more years of higher education experience, preferably in a central leadership role in a comprehensive research-intensive university setting; strong background in customer service; substantial supervisory experience working with high volume, high dollar transactions; advanced degree in business administration, finance or related field; and a nationally recognized procurement certification (i.e. CPPO, CPPM).
