The Office of University Advancement Development at Colorado State University System seeks a full-time Donor Relations Coordinator to serve the Principal Gifts Team. The Principal Gifts Team serve as university ambassadors to develop relationships and connect constituents throughout the country and internationally with CSU to match the constituent’s philanthropic intent with the greatest needs of the university. The team has university-wide fundraising responsibilities for their region and assists the eight colleges, athletics and the library in meeting their private fundraising priorities and objectives. The position will be located in Fort Collins, Colorado.

RESPONSIBIITIES and DUTIES:
• Donor management:
o Coordinate and set up donor/prospect meetings, create briefs and handle necessary follow up.
o Manage complex systems of donor identification, cultivation, and solicitation.
o Pull numbers weekly for review by the Regional Directors of Development (RDODs) (dollars raised, Denver Initiative information, pipeline and effort reports, etc.).
• Database management:
o Code event attendees, enter contact reports and internal bio updates, add new entities, code prospects and take care of other data maintenance as required.
• Meeting/event coordination:
o Manage event attendees, hosted guests for events and campus tours, and manage of all associated details (briefs, reservations, etc.).
• Administrative:
o Handle general copying, scanning of documents for electronic record keeping, routing and tracking of documents for signatures (internal travel, CSU Foundation forms, etc.), shredding, and filing.
• Accounting and travel:
o Assist with travel details as required.
o Initiate travel reimbursements, official function procedures (receipts), and internal purchase orders with appropriate colleagues.
• Events:
o Work with Principal Gift Team to define purpose for regional events, establish invitation parameters, and act as a liaison with University Events for events hosted by Principal Gifts and track expenses and subsequent giving by attendees.
o Coordinate attendance at university events for out of state visitors (football games, 1870 dinner, alumni functions, etc.).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrates strong written communication skills.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills, experience tracking multiple projects.
• Skill to use a personal computer and computer software programs at the level of sophistication required for the development office; proven ability to use MS Office and database management.
• Be willing and able to work irregular hours, including weekends.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of Colorado State University.
• Exercises initiative, good judgment, confidentiality, and discretion while maintaining confidential files and records, as well as in communication with colleagues and constituents.
• Experience with development databases such as Advance.
• Problem solver; possess the ability to anticipate and address upcoming assignments and solve potential road blocks or problems.
• Experience working with donors, volunteers.
