POSITION: Budget Coordinator with the Institute for Learning and Teaching.
DESCRIPTION This is a full-time position working with Institute staff to support the Institute. The coordinator will assist with budgeting and general operations of the Institute. The coordinator will report to the Institute’s Program Assistant, who serves as team leader for budgets and operations. The coordinator will work with the Program Assistant to track expenditures, funds transfers, revenue, and other budget activities; will be responsible for budget reconciliations; and will prepare monthly and annual budget reports for the Associate Vice Provost, who directs the Institute, as well as various Institute program directors as specified by the Associate Vice Provost. The individual in this position will also be responsible for directing general inquiries via the phone and email to appropriate offices within the Institute.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s Degree • Experience working with budgets
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines • Demonstrated experience working independently and on extended projects • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively • Experience working with accounting software and Web-based accounting systems
JOB DUTIES • Manage and monitor multiple program budgets • Reconcile financial activities within the Institute budget • Prepare monthly and annual budget reports • Process student payroll and hiring documents • Make travel arrangements and process university travel forms • Arrange interviews, campus committee meetings, and teleconferences • Post room schedules • Respond to general inquiries sent via phone and email • Other duties as assigned
POSITION DURATION This is a permanent administrative/professional position; the employee will serve on an at-will basis.
