QUALIFICATIONS Minimum: (i) Bachelorís Degree; (ii) strong interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills; (iii) effective oral and written communication skills; (iv) willingness and availability to work nights, weekends and holidays; (v) proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Preferred: (i) experience in intercollegiate athletics; (ii) experience with Paciolan ticketing software and Advance database; (iii) knowledge of NCAA regulations; (iv) career interest in intercollegiate athletics administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES This internship is an entry level professional position designed to provide experience and to assist in preparing for a career in intercollegiate athletics. The position provides the opportunity to gain an education in athletic development and administration while working in a collaborative team environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged. The position is responsible for assisting the Athletics Development staff in all facets of its operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: (i) communicating with donors through phone, email and social media; (ii) tracking and processing donor payments between Paciolan and Advance; (iii) overseeing all weekly acknowledgment letters for donors; (iv) assisting with online data entry and database management; (v) providing general office support for Athletic Development; (vi) assisting Ram Club and Major Gift Officers on special projects and administrative tasks; (vii) assisting with quarterly Ram Club E-Newsletters; (viii) coordinating Legacy and Endowment mailings; and (ix) assisting with game-day and special events. Individual must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse community and advance the Departmentís commitment to diversity and inclusion.
APPOINTMENT: This is a temporary one-year full-time non-benefitted administrative professional position reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Development. Base salary is $24,000. Reappointment for a second year (with full University benefits) is possible.
