QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree; previous coaching experience or competitive collegiate or professional playing experience required, preferably at the NCAA Division I level; recruiting experience preferred; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations highly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Position is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of an NCAA Division I women’s golf program. Duties include but are not limited to: (i) evaluate and assess strengths and weaknesses of student-athletes; (ii) design and implement coaching and training strategies to enhance and maximize the athletic and competitive success of student-athletes; (iii) develop and implement an appropriate recruiting strategy and select, evaluate and research prospective student-athletes; (iv) design and implement pre-season, in-season and off-season programs; (v) commit to academic success (team GPA’s, APR and graduation rates) by reinforcing and supporting the efforts of Student-Athlete Support Services; (vi) provide budgetary oversight and assure expenditures are within budget and in conformity with institutional and NCAA regulations; (vii) be knowledgeable of and comply fully with all rules and regulations of Colorado State University, the Mountain West Conference and the NCAA; (viii) assist with fund raising and promotional efforts including community outreach and public relations efforts; (ix) show personal or professional commitment to diversity through persistent effort, active planning and allocation of resources and be accountable for diverse outcomes for the unit; (x) be willing to work evenings and weekends and travel; and (xi) perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION: Full-time, 12-month administrative professional position reporting to the Head Women’s Golf Coach; full University benefits; competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
