QUALIFICATIONS: (i) Bachelor’s degree required; (ii) four years of experience working in a sports-related technology/video office preferred; (iii) two years of experience working with the video needs of a major college football program required; (iv) sports video analysis system experience required; (v) proficiency in XOS Thunder HD, DVSport or similar sports video analysis software; Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro; Windows 7; MS Office; and Panasonic Professional Video Cameras preferred; (vi) working knowledge of Dragonfly video exchange system preferred; (vii) experience with the safe operation of hydraulic lifts preferred; and (viii) ability to work successfully in a high-stress environment with quick turn-around demands required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position’s primary area of responsibility is assisting the Video Coordinator with the overall video technology operation of an NCAA Division I (FBS) athletics program with primary, but not sole, emphasis in the sport of football. Duties include: (i) filming practices and home and away games including using various angles and cameras; (ii) editing film; (iii) editing opponents’ film for scouting purposes; (iv) handling film exchange with opponents; (v) producing motivational/instructional/highlight videos; (vi) assisting staff with network/ database/iPad technological needs; (vii) capturing video from a hydraulic lift/tower at heights of up to 50 feet; (viii) helping to ensure compliance with departmental, University, conference and NCAA regulations; and (ix) performing other responsibilities as may be assigned. This position requires some evening and weekend work and travel.
POSITION: Full-time, 12-month administrative professional position reporting to the Video Coordinator; full University benefits; salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
