MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelorís degree required; minimum of two years of previous work experience in an intercollegiate athletic equipment room required; AEMA certification required but may be obtained during first year in position; some evening, weekend and holiday work required; travel and heavy lifting required; experience with team travel and equipment transportation preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required; familiarity with computerized athletic equipment D-Base or inventory tracking system (e.g., ACS) preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Position is responsible for assisting with all facets of an NCAA Division I (FBS) equipment room operation that supports 16 menís and womenís sports. Duties include but are not limited to: (i) purchasing, receiving, storing, fitting, issuing, maintaining, repairing, inventorying and transporting uniforms and equipment; (ii) assisting with supervision of student workers; (iii) overseeing the athletic laundry facility; (iv) maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records; (v) maintaining expenditures in conformity with budgets; (vi) overseeing the return and repair of equipment and the proper disposition of unusable equipment, uniforms and apparel; (vii) assuring compliance with all NCAA, state and University regulations; (viii) coordinating with other administrative areas on management of home athletic events; (ix) working effectively with a culturally diverse community and advancing the Departmentís commitment to diversity and inclusion; and (ix) performing other duties as required by the Equipment Manager or department administration.
POSITION: Full-time, 12-month administrative professional position reporting to Head Equipment Manager; full University benefits; salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
