The 66,267-square-foot indoor practice facility, to be located north of the Student Recreation Center, will include a 70-yard synthetic turf field, a four-lane training track, a regulation-size basketball court and two half courts, and two full-size, side-by-side volleyball courts. Motorized netting will allow for hitting practice for both the softball and golf teams. A shared lobby connecting the turf practice facility and the court practice facility will feature locker rooms and a training room. [view the floor plan]

Imagine this... it’s a rainy October afternoon, the football team is preparing for its homecoming game; the volleyball team is practicing for a critical match; the softball team is trying to take advantage of the very important fall season; the men’s and women’s basketball teams have just begun preparations for their upcoming seasons. The problem is we don’t have the space for these teams to practice. This reality has created numerous challenges, compromising valuable practice time and often setting our teams back.

As the only Mountain West Conference member without an indoor practice facility, Colorado State University must overcome this critical facility shortfall to position itself for long term success.

Not only will the new indoor practice facility create much needed practice space, but the facility will serve as a recruiting tool to help attract the best and brightest student-athletes to CSU. One of the most important criterion to prospective student-athletes in their selection of a university is the condition of the facilities in which they practice and compete. A new, state-of-the-art facility demonstrates a commitment to athletic success by CSU and its supporters.
