For purchases made through CSU's Software Cellar there are usually two pricing options: Microsoft Select Pricing and Shrink Wrapped Pricing

Microsoft Select Pricing

Colorado State University departments can purchase Microsoft software at substantial savings through the Microsoft Select 4.0 Education Agreement. The Microsoft Select Program is not available to students or faculty for their personal purchases. All software purchased under the MS Select Education Agreement must be from college/department funds. The Select price is for a license for the product. The Select price does not include any media such as floppy disks or CD ROM's, though the Software Cellar can provide media for a fee. The Select price does not include any manuals or guides. More information about the Microsoft Select 4.0 Education Agreement, including current products and prices, http://softcell.colostate.edu/SelProd.htm

Shrink Wrapped Pricing

The shrink wrapped price is higher than the Select price. A shrink wrapped product includes media and usually a manual or user's guide. Shrink wrapped copies may be purchased with university funds or by faculty, staff and students for personal use. Current ID is REQUIRED for personal purchases of software and supplies from the Software Cellar. The Software Cellar's current list of available software, listed at the shrink wrapped price, http://softcell.colostate.edu/webprice.htm
