Potato Psyllid Nymph

Potato Psyllid Nymphs feed on the lower sides of potato leaves, and can be found most often in the lower portion of the plant canopy, especially in low lying, moist areas in the field. Look for the nymphs along veins and vein axils.

Under magnification, the nymphs resimble minute turtles, which are flat and eliptical in shape, and small red to tan colored eye spots may be noticible near the head of the nymph.
