ARDEC Weather

  • The electronic weather station at ARDEC is a part of the Colorado Agricultural Meteorological Network (CoAgMet). The ARDEC station number is FTC03.

  • Hourly data and daily summaries are available from this station since May 1992, although there are some gaps in the records. The precipitation data from this station have also had some problems in the past and have sometimes underestimated actual precipitation, especially during the winter months.
  • Daily precipitation data for the Fort Collins area are available back to 1998 on the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow network (CoCoRaHS) website at http://www.cocorahs.org. This shows the dramatic local variations in precipitation common to the Fort Collins area. This includes manual reports of daily precipitation from ARDEC CoCoRaHS station number CO-LR-127.
  • Historic weather data from the CSU Main Campus weather station is available back to 1889 from the Colorado Climate Center.

  • For data plots for the past 7 days:

NOTE: Times are displayed in Mountain Standard Time all year and don't switch to MDT during the summer.
