AES Research Projects
The Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES) conducts research at 8 off-campus research centers (10 sites) to meet agricultural production needs in different regions of the state that addresses the economic viability, environmental sustainability, and social acceptability of activities impacting agriculture, natural resources, and consumers in Colorado. Researchers conduct disciplinary and interdisciplinary research in the following areas:
- environmental quality - the interaction of agricultural and natural resource systems;
- improvement of plant and animal resources;
- integrated agricultural systems;
- alternative uses for agricultural commodities;
- food quality and safety; and
- enhancing agricultural and rural economies.
