• Integrated Pest Management of DRY BEAN rust, white mold, and bacterial diseases; and ONION bacterial and Iris Yellow Spot Virus diseases.
• Improvement of dry bean genetic resistance to priority fungal and bacterial pathogens and their diseases; in cooperation with plant breeding personnel in Soil & Crop Sciences.
• Application of GPS/GIS technology to plant disease monitoring, surveys and timing of IPM strategies.Western RegionalCoordinator for the IPM Legume PIPE project that monitors for Soybean Rust and other pests/diseases.
• Environmental monitoring in cooperation with the Colorado Climate Center (COAGMET) and implementation of plant disease forecasting models for priority vegetable crops and diseases.
• Delivery of time-sensitive information on Integrated Pest Management and CropProduction Systems and coordination of 10,000 digitized agriculturalimages used for teaching, extension and research projects.
