As the CSU Cooperative Extension Environmental and Pesticide Education Specialist I have programmatic responsibilities in Pesticide Safety Education and Minor Crop Pest Management Needs and I liaison with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) to provide pest management uses and needs to these partners. To manage these responsibilities I have grouped them together as the Colorado Environmental and Pesticide Education Program (CEPEP). To accomplish the programmatic objectives, CEPEP has an interdisciplinary focus, but the program emphasis is on pesticide education, pest management strategies, environmental issues, and minor crop pest management. The program continues to expand with the help of Clark Oman as a Program Assistant for Minor Crop Pest Management and Tara Steinke as a Program Assistant for Pesticide Applicator Education Material Development.

Course I Teach:

Fundamentals of Pesticides (BSPM 310) (Fall)
