Spring Semester Advising Under Way

Spring semester advising for majors in the Department of Journalism and Technical Communication runs from October 15-26. Students take advantage of this opportunity to prepare their schedules for spring semester registration. Advisors can answer questions about class offerings, the department’s five concentrations of study, internships, and opportunities in the study abroad program. Advising sessions also are the perfect time to ask questions about the journalism profession from those who know it best.

All majors must meet with their adviser to receive an Advising Code for registration on RamWeb. To schedule a meeting with an adviser, students should sign up on their adviser’s office door as soon as possible.

Not sure who your adviser is? Go to RamWeb and click on the My Adviser(s) link under the Registration heading, or check the adviser list outside Rebecca Allen’s office (C-227 Clark).

Spring 2008 Registration Dates

Professional/Graduate Students: Monday, October 22:
Seniors/Honors/Athletes: Tuesday, October 23
Juniors: Friday, October 26
Sophomores: Friday, November 2
Freshmen: Friday, November 9
New Students: Monday, November 19
