Dr. Quick was the project leader of the CSU Wheat Breeding and Genetics Research Program during 1981-1998. He has taught two courses in plant breeding. His particular field of interest is in the study of breeding methods and in the search for and utilization of genes for tolerance to diseases, abiotic stress and resistance to the Russian wheat aphid. Dr. Quick was Department Head from July 1, 1998 to June 30, 2003, and is now Professor Emeritus and Durum Wheat Breeder for Dakota Growers Pasta Company.
