Research Interests

  • Quantifying effects of alternative irrigation and water management strategies on soil-plant-atmosphere systems
  • Development of best management practices for conserving water (quantity and quality) in agricultural fields and urban landscapes
  • Development and application of computer simulation models of soil-plant-atmosphere systems to extend site-specific research findings to other locations, management practices, or climate scenarios

Teaching Responsibilities

Irrigation Principles (SOCR 380) Determination of irrigation water requirements based on the estimation of storage and movement of water in the soil-plant-atmosphere system

Extension & Outreach

  • Presentations and workshops on irrigation and water management
  • Collaboration with extension specialists and agents to study irrigation issues and provide recommendations
