Current
Position and Research Program:
Potato Production, Physiology, and Storage Project Leader.
Research activities emphasize cultural management practices to develop
cultivar specific management profiles for existing and new potato cultivars.
Additional emphasis is being placed on Potato Storage Research. Other
responsibilities include green-sprouting minitubers to break dormancy of long
dormant cultivars before planting. Samuel's research enables him to work
closely with growers and other potato industry personnel.

Samuel, a native of Ghana, was raised on a multiple cropping
