Current
Position and Research Program:
Assist Dr. Holm with the Potato Breeding and Selection
program to develop improved cultivars. Manage
and supervise the greenhouse, field and lab activities including crossing,
seedling tuber production, nuclear stock production, data collection and
analysis. Conduct evaluations for tuber quality and physiological
characteristics. Cooperate with other research faculty to evaluate potato
clones for disease resistance, nutrition and health attributes, cultural and
storage management, and sensory and culinary qualities. Participate in grower
meetings and professional conferences.
Biodata:
Caroline and her husband, Michael, are originally from Virginia
Beach, VA. They lived in Fayetteville, AR for six years while Caroline worked
for the soybean breeding program at the University of Arkansas and Michael attended
school for electrical engineering. They enjoy outdoor activities such as
camping, hiking and gardening.
