IOOB 2010 Proposals
On behalf of the 2008 IOOB committee at Colorado State University, we would like to thank you for helping us make the 2008 IOOB such a successful event! To continue this tradition, we would like to invite the graduate students in your department to submit a proposal to host the 2010 IOOB Conference.
As you may well know, the Industrial OrganizationalÐOrganizational Behavior (IOOB) conference is a graduate student event that gives I/O and OB students the opportunity to present their research and network with other students, faculty, and professionals in the field. The conference can also serve to provide insight for additional research or provide direction for in-progress studies.
The most recent IOOB conference was hosted in March 2008 in Denver, CO by Colorado State University (CSU) and IOOB 2009 will be hosted in February 2009 in Chicago, Illinois by the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). More information about the 2009 conference can be found at http://www.iit.edu/~ioob/.
As hosts of the 2008 IOOB conference, Colorado State University is responsible for selecting the host of IOOB 2010, and as such, we are making a request for proposals to host the conference in the Spring of 2010.
We would love for students from your I/O or OB graduate program to submit a proposal to host IOOB 2010.ÊThe proposal will need to include the following information in order to be considered:
- Proposed conference date
- Proposed conference location (e.g., hotel or on campus)
- Evidence of planning in terms of participant hotel accommodations
- Evidence of planning in terms of conference logistics (e.g., proposed conference schedule)
- Evidence of planning in terms of recruitment of conference Keynote speakers and workshop facilitators
All proposals must be submitted on or before December 15, 2008 for consideration. Proposals will be evaluated in terms of how well they address all of the above mentioned criteria. All final proposals and related inquiries should be sent to ioob@colostate.edu.
Again, we hope that students within your graduate program will consider hosting IOOB 2010. Our experience as conference hosts has proven to be both valuable and enjoyable. We have included our proposal as a sample to give a template for drafting proposals. Please feel free to contact us if we can provide further information or clarification about the submission process or conference in general. We look forward to receiving your program's proposal!
