What degrees are offered through the public health program at CSU?
Colorado State University offers a Master of Public Health in several different areas of study: Animals, People and the Environment, Environmental and Occupational Health, Epidemiology , Global Health and Health Disparities, Health Communications, Health and Exercise Science, and Public Health Nutrition. Other degrees and areas of study are available through the other universities included in the Colorado School of Public Health. What are the eligibility requirements for applying to the CSU Graduate Degree Program in Public health?
The only specific requirement is that applicants have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher. Depending on your interests there may be prerequisite coursework for classes that you want to take, but these are not prerequisites for admittance into the MPH program.

When do I have to choose a main campus?
The main campus has to be decided at the time that you apply to the Colorado School of Public Health.
What is the deadline for applications to the Graduate Degree Program in Public Health at CSU?
Admission applications are handled by the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado at Denver. Information on application deadlines and requirements can be found here. Applicants receive letters of rejection or acceptance on or before April 1.
Where do I register for classes if my main campus is CSU?
You will register for your classes through the University of Colorado at Denver (UCD).
What school do I put on my loan forms if my main campus is CSU?
You will need to use the University of Colorado at Denver (UCD) as the institution on loan forms. For financial aid information please visit the Anschutz Medical Campus Financial Aid Office website.
Will I take all of my classes at CSU?
Currently there is one required MPH course that can only be fulfilled by taking a class either at the University of Colorado at Denver (in Aurora) or the University of Northern Colorado (in Greeley). All other course requirements for an MPH can be fulfilled at the CSU campus. Students can take classes at any of the three campuses (CSU, UNC, UCD), but they are required to take 24 credits at their home campus.
What school do I pay my tuition to?
Tuition for classes that are on the approved list of public health classes, either core or elective, is to be paid to the University of Colorado at Denver (UCD). If you are taking other classes at Colorado State University that are not on the approved list of public health classes you will need to pay for those through CSU and then go through the credit transfer process if they are to be applied to your public health degree.
What institution name will show up on my degree?
Your degree will be from the Colorado School of Public Health and all of the three universities will be listed on your degree.
How much will it cost to attend the CSU MPH program?
Tuition for completion of the degree in two years as of September 2009 is $22,260 ($530 per credit hour) for in-state residents and $40,110 ($955 per credit hour) for out-of-state residents. Additional costs will include institution fees, books and general cost of living. CSU institution fees are approximately $3300 per year. Books and cost of living expenses will vary for each student.
